Stephen Daze

Stephen is the founder of Agawa Entrepreneurship Development Corporation which works in the area of Entrepreneurship strategy development and capacity building helping colleges, universities and communities build programs to support entrepreneurs. The Agawa team works with clients to assess existing assets, establish goals and build specific, targeted programs that support and encourage entrepreneurism. More than just recommendations, the team assists in the identification of funding for, and implementation of, solutions. Previous to Agawa, Stephen led OCRI’s Entrepreneurship Centre as Executive Director leading a team of staff members dedicated to helping entrepreneurs succeed. The Centre provides support to more than 2,000 entrepreneurial clients annually through training, mentoring, consultations, special events, a resource library and web resources. During his time with OCRI, he was responsible for the successful Ottawa Venture and Technology Summit, the redesign and launch of www.entrepreneurship.com, the development of the eBusiness Handbook, numerous editions of the Centre’s Entrepreneur’s Handbook and the development of many world class educational programs and seminars. In the Fall of 2009, Stephen led the successful reintroduction of Junior Achievement programming back to the Ottawa market and was recognized nationally for the program’s growth in the Ottawa region. Stephen is also a part-time professor teaching entrepreneurship at the University of Ottawa.
