Kasia Chojecki, Manager Strategic Initiatives for The Regional Municipality of Durham, has extensive experience working in areas of business development, investment attraction, marketing, project management and communications. The strategic initiatives portfolio focuses on strategic projects and activities as they relate to economic development, data collection and statistics, performance metrics, and business and community development across the region. Previously, Kasia worked at the Town of Whitby as an economic development officer. Kasia is a Certified Economic Developer (Ec.D.) by the Economic Developers Association of Canada and has a Certificate in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from University of Toronto and a certificate in Corporate Communications from Centennial College. Kasia is actively involved with the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) where she participates on various committees. She is also a member of the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) Course Committee. Kasia also is a recipient of the EDCO President’s Award in recognition of her work with the association.
