Kadie Ward

Kadie Ward is a Marketer and Economic Developer in Canada’s 10th largest city. As an award-winning multimedia producer, Ward has created and activated several international campaigns aimed at attracting foreign direct investment and talent. Her recent campaign http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un8jzCbCtNA) was acknowledge by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and given his award for marketing excellence. Ward has been a member of the Innovation Systems Research Network (http://www.utoronto.ca/isrn/) and Techno-Policy Network (http://www.technopolicy.net/) where she researched regional innovation systems. Her research has been published and presented to both local and international audiences. Most recently Ward work with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities to design and deliver workshops on city branding to representatives from twelve Ukrainian cities. A graduate of Western University with a Master’s in Media Studies, Ward now teaches “Social Media for Organizations” and “Managing Public Relations” with the Faculty of Information and Media studies at her alma mater. Passionate about urban economic development, Ward strives to bring innovation to her community and introduce new ways of thinking about how to build strong cities and communicate their value.
