As Associate Director of The Monieson Centre, Jeff Dixon works to connect leading research with real-world business and community needs. He supports the strategic oversight and provides day-to-day management of the Centre’s collaborative research on themes including the business of healthcare and economic revitalization. He has provided leadership and project management to numerous research initiatives, for partners including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Government of Canada’s Rural Secretariat, OMAFRA, and EDCO, as well as numerous corporate clients. Jeff has spoken internationally on rural economic development issues, including the emergence of the creative economy as a rural development strategy. An honours graduate of Queen’s University’s Bachelor of Commerce program, and Tyndale Seminary’s Master of Divinity program, he has previously worked in communications for Bombardier and in marketing and strategy development for non-profit organizations.
