How Los Angeles is kind of, almost a startup town

Los Angeles doesn’t necessarily spring to mind when one thinks of hubs for tech startups. According to Anna Nicolaou at Fast Company, though, the city is emerging as a hotspot for startups, with pockets of activity popping up across the city, including Santa Monica (or “Silicon Beach”).
