The 2013 employment story: Yet another year of McJob growth

Jordan Weissmann takes a look at labor market trends in the United States in 2013. Based on data for the year, the U.S. added 182,000 jobs per month during 2013. If hiring keeps up the same pace, all of the jobs lost during the Great Recession will be recouped by the end of next year. Which is great news, but there is still room to be concerned about the quality of jobs being created.
