Oxfam: World’s richest 1 percent control half of global wealth

According to new data from Oxfam, a mere one percent of the world’s population owns almost half the world’s wealth, with the 85 richest people on the planet owning as much as the poorest 50 percent (so 3.5 billion or so). Scott Neuman at NPR takes a closer look at the study’s findings.
