Storefront transformer: A kit for pop-up community hubs

Pop-up retail, cultural and community spaces have been big news of late. Now the folks at Made in the Lower East Side (miLES) have found a way to make pop-ups easier to…well, pop up.  The miLES Storefront Transformer is a flexible set of pop-up essentials, including furnishings and other other amenities, that can easily be transported and set up to provide things like   shelving, partitions, tables, seats, a stage,  lighting, Wi-Fi, power strips, speakers, projectors, and a PA system. mILES is running a Kickstarter campaign to prototype and demonstrate later this year. Eric Ho takes a closer look at GOOD.
