Daily chart: Waiting for work

In their latest Daily Chart, the folks at The Economist paint a rather concerning picture of long-term unemployment in OECD countries. Based on OECD data, more than a third of unemployed people in these wealthier countries have been without work for more than a year. This number has doubled since the financial crisis of 2008, reaching 17 million.
