Urban placemaking: The LA park that used to be a parking lot

In August of 2012, Los Angeles’  50 Parks Initiatives had the goal of transforming underutilized properties in areas which lacked recreational space into parks.  On June 17, 2013 the 16th park opened at its location on Spring Street in the city’s downtown core.  It is interesting to note the change in residents since the park was opened in the community.
