Poverty maps from 1980 look astonishingly different compared to 2010

It is quite unfortunate that since 1980 the number of Americans who are in poverty has dramatically increased compared to 2010. It is important to note that poverty not only affects the downtown of several cities, but it has expanded into the suburbs. Recently, the Urban Institute created maps that show Census data on poverty and which cities have been affected the most.
