3D printing and sustainable cities
Renée van Staveren / June 25, 2013 / sustainablecitiescollective.com
Renée van Staveren explains that 3D printing makes everyone their own manufacturer and it is predicted that it will be commonplace in every home. Instead of going somewhere to digitally print information, pictures, or the latest new ideas, everything can be done in the comfort of your own home. Therefore, it will change a lot of current jobs in the economy and new policies will have to be created for this demand. 3D printing has the potential to make cities more sustainable by having more civilians participating and printing items that will help “green” our economy.
