Aiming for 50 percent women in workplace: ‘A tough goal’

Coca Cola is one of the few companies which aims to reach gender parity across all ares of its business by 2020.    The initiative launched in 2008 and since then women who hold senior executive positions have increased to 30 percent globally from 23 percent.  The main goal is to train and empower women in communities and in turn Coke would like to see 50 percent of its company’s jobs set aside for women.
